Chris qualified in Dentistry from the University of Leeds in 2003. Following Vocational Training, Chris gained experience working in General & Community Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and Paediatric Dentistry as well as teaching Undergraduate Dental students at the University of Leeds. Chris completed his Specialist Orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital and the Royal United Hospital, Bath, becoming a Specialist in Orthodontics in 2011. Chris has advanced Orthodontic training to Consultant level, which was undertaken at York Hospital and Leeds Dental Institute and he has been a Consultant in Orthodontics at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield since 2014. Chris works part-time in Hospital and Private & NHS specialist practice providing a wide range of orthodontic treatment. Chris enjoys teaching orthodontics and is involved in teaching undergraduates, postgraduate students and orthodontic therapists. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England and is involved in training the future dental workforce as the Training Programme Director for Dental Core Training at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust. Chris will work with his patients to ensure that their treatment goals and needs are addressed with all options explained. Chris uses a range of contemporary orthodontic appliances including Invisalign, clear and metal fixed appliances. He provides the latest innovations in orthodontics to manage complex cases and has close links with surgeons for those patients wishing to have orthognathic (jaw) surgery using more aesthetic appliances.
