Biography

Colin Gardner BDS MFDS RCPS (Glasg), GDC reg no 63929, graduated from Dundee University Dental Hospital and School in 1988 . Since that time he has worked almost exclusively in Glasgow’s West End. During his career, Colin has constantly sought to keep up-to-date with current thinking and the most modern techniques available within the profession, regularly attending postgraduate courses all over the UK. He has developed a keen interest in advanced restorative dentistry including implants, and all forms of cosmetic treatments. Orthodontics is frequently an integral component of these treatments and the use of Invisalign Treatment means that a fantastic result can be achieved while almost nobody, even close friends and family is aware that you are wearing "braces!" The in-depth, thorough examinations and preventative advice he provides are unhurried, meticulous and last around thirty to forty-five minutes. We also offer a no obligation, free initial consultation with an experienced team member to answer your questions and help you decide whether Invisalign Treatment might be appropriate for you. This can be done remotely as a virtual consultation, allowing us to demonstrate the changes that can be achieved for your smile. It is extremely important to Colin that every patient is fully informed of their options before they make a decision as to which treatment to have carried out, so don’t be surprised if your consultation is a little longer than you are used to! Use this time to tell him what YOU would like done. From 2015 until 2018, Colin was a Director on the Board of the European Society of Aesthetic Orthodontics whose aim is to raise standards in aesthetic orthodontic provision by general dentists by improving their core orthodontic knowledge, in addition to raising public awareness of aesthetic orthodontics as a valid alternative to invasive and potentially damaging restorative techniques. In september of 2020, he was awarded Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow MFDS RCPS (Glasg).
