After more than 20 years as a general dentist I am still as passionate about my job as I have been from the beginning and I am always keen to keep up to date on new treatments and technologies. Creating a relaxed and stress-free atmosphere for my patients, while delivering the highest standard of care is my number one priority. I have a special interest in early functional orthopaedic treatment for children and fixed orthodontic treatment for teenagers and adults. Over the last two decades, I have undertaken comprehensive training with world-renowned dentists and orthodontists from the UK, USA and Australia in the areas of orthopaedics, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Having been a certified Invisalign provider for over 15 years I have been awarded Silver status in the past. In 2014, I graduated from the Derek Mahony Orthodontic UK Residency, a 3-year post-graduate programme for a select group of general dentists, widely considered to be the most comprehensive orthodontic course of its kind. I believe every patient’s situation is unique and I enjoy planning and applying different treatment modalities and techniques, each designed and tailored to their individual needs. I provide fixed orthodontic treatments, creating beautiful, natural smiles for patients of any age. A great smile is so much more than just ‘straight teeth’ : Early interceptive orthodontic and multi-disciplinary treatment for young patients can set them on a path of a healthy mouth for life, starting as early as 8 or 9 years old. Recognising and correcting developmental issues early can have a huge impact on a young person’s life, far beyond oral health, improving speech, sleep and helping them gain self confidence. You will find me bringing the same passion and aesthetic approach to my adult patients: Often I am asked “Am I not too old for braces?” and I always answer “No, anyone can have the beautiful amazing smile they desire at any age!” I genuinely enjoy adult orthodontic treatment to correct minor aesthetic issues to complex cases and helping patients (re-)establish their smiles. I look at it as a journey that I take with my patients and I thoroughly enjoy being part of their progress every step of the way. It brings me great joy seeing them reach the end, resulting in the smile and boost to self-confidence that they had imagined. In my free time I enjoy travelling, keeping fit and good food - sometimes a little bit too much! ;)
