Biography

Dr Emma Henley is the only specialist within the Swansea location that has additional expertise enabling provision for patients that require specialised care, making our practice truly special. Emma graduated from the University of Dundee in 2002 and worked as a Vocational Trainee in Scotland for a year. Following this Emma worked as a Community Dental Officer, Senior House Officer in Pediatrics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative and Oral Medicine in England and Scotland. Emma gained her MFDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2004. She completed her Orthodontic Specialist training in Cardiff where she was presented with a distinction for her MScD and she gained her Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010. Most of Emma’s spare time is spent with her young family taking them to football, netball or surfing. Otherwise she will be sailing, surfing or out running with the dog. Having spent the last twelve years providing NHS and private orthodontic treatment to a mixture of children and adults in England, Scotland and Wales Emma still gets great satisfaction from a wonderful orthodontic result. With the demand for more aesthetic orthodontic appliances, Emma enjoys helping her patients’ treatment wishes become reality using Invisalign clear aligners. Emma is thrilled to be settled in Wales and excited about the future working at the Orthodontic Centre, Swansea with such a fantastic dynamic team.
