The complete Invisalign Go Digital Mentoring Program (“Training Programme”) for general dental practitioners new to the Invisalign Go system consists of the following stages, of which (A) & (B) are compulsory to complete before you will be able to order products from Align:

  1. Online learning to prepare for the Training Course, which includes:
    1. the SAFE Orthodontics course. This is an introduction, on-demand course created by a third party on how to use orthodontics as a tool in aesthetic dentistry involving clear aligner therapy created by a third party. It features four (4) mini-modules and will take you approximately two (2) hours to complete;
    2. Invisalign self-pace learning module series to provide fundamental knowledge of Invisalign Go portfolio and treatment process;
    3. an interactive, peer-led workshop that focuses on patient selection, communication and case assessment for the Training Programme.

    This stage (A) will need to be completed in order to proceed to stage (B) and come prepared    with selected patients for case-based discussions and hands-on training course.

  2. 1 day of hands-on training (“Training Course”) which will be carried out face-to-face or virtually.  The Training Course is developed to provide fundamental knowledge of digital dentistry, the Invisalign Go system and treatment planning process, hands-on techniques on intraoral digital scanning and treatment assessment, interproximal reduction (IPR), attachments, patient engagement and communication. Time is also dedicated to reviewing your first clinical cases with the support of expert peers, at the course and throughout the Training Programme.
  3. Dedicated Digital course and in-practice support to facilitate the learning and use of digital intraoral scanning technologies, such as the iTero intraoral scanner.
  4. A continuing education programme, a series of peer-to-peer events for doctors who, within 3-6 months of the Training Course, have ClinCheck1 approved at least five (5) Invisalign Go treatments. Additional optional SAFE Orthodontics education modules are accessible via the education platform using your single sign-on IDS credentials. All events require registration in advance and must be participated in at the specified time. More information on continued education will be provided at the start of your Training Programme.

1The ClinCheck software is a proprietary 3D computer application (electronic prescription) for depicting, viewing, editing, monitoring and approving an orthodontic  treatment plan, including a virtual representation of the patient’s expected tooth movement from the beginning through final stage of their Invisalign case in a virtual three dimensional model.  The doctor’s approval of the customized ClinCheck treatment plan is considered a prescription and constitutes final authorization for Align to manufacture the aligners.
