I qualified, with Honours, from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1983. After a period of 3 years Hospital training I attained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. This was followed by a further 3 years training in Orthodontics at Leeds University and Dental Hospital, following which I attained the Master of Dental Science Degree, Diploma in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I was awarded the Orthologic Gold Medal for outstanding performance in the Membership in Orthodontics examination in Edinburgh. I am registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council and am a member of the Specialist Practitioner Group of the British Orthodontic Society. I am a past Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists and International Member of the American Association of Orthodontists. I have extensive experience in the use of Invisalign, twin block functionals, removable appliances and pre-adjusted edgewise systems as well as the Damon technique.
