Biography

David is the lead specialist Orthodontist, at this modern Orthodontic practice. With 23 years of Orthodontic experience as a Specialist and Hospital Consultant Orthodontist. He has been using the Invisalign system for over 20 years and was a major driving force in the U.K. of introducing the Invisalign clear aligners into the Hospital postgraduate teaching course He is involved in teaching the Invisalign system to hospital trainee postgraduates. Career; He qualified in dentistry at Guys Hospital; Followed by several years obtaining a broad postgraduate education in Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics. Culminating in being awarded: Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. David then studied Orthodontics, as a postgraduate degree, with a three year training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and was awarded a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics with Honours from the University of London and also the European Research Award for his thesis. In 1994 he was awarded a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and gained the distinction of the Gold Medal for clinical excellence and top graduate. David’s pre-consultant training continued at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, for a further three years, where he gained experience in every form of complex orthodontic care and gained his Fellowship in Orthodontics, of the Royal College of Surgeons England, allowing him to become a hospital consultant. David started his Consultant post at Guys Teaching Hospital and is now Consultant Orthodontist at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup and specialises in treating complex orthodontic cases requiring surgery to the jaws. He is involved in teaching clinical orthodontics to postgraduate orthodontic trainees as well as research into new methods of orthodontic care. He has lectured internationally and nationally. He is married and enjoys Sailing/ Skiing/ Hiking when not working.
