I am a GDC registered Orthodontic Specialist and a Consultant Orthodontist. I graduated from Bristol Dental School in 2000, achieving first place in my year. I was awarded both the prestigious Gold Medal, as well as the British Dental Association Medal, for my academic and clinical successes. I have been practising solely orthodontics for the last 15 years.
I undertook my Orthodontic Specialist Registrar Training at the Birmingham Dental Hospital, during which time I did a Masters in Philosophy research degree. I completed my training in 2007 and gained my Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons. At this examination, I was awarded the distinguished British Orthodontic Society Cases Medal for my outstanding quality of orthodontic treatment.
I undertook additional higher training in orthodontics, centred on the treatment of the most complex cases. I was awarded my Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, giving me Consultant status. I am a registered Orthodontic Specialist on the GDC Register and I currently work as a Consultant Orthodontist at a local hospital. I also work part time in practice. I am an educational supervisor to orthodontic trainees, and I am an invited lecturer on the West Midlands Regional Orthodontic training program. I have lectured both regionally and nationally, and have presented my research at conferences.
My areas of interest are contemporary adult orthodontics and invisible brace systems.
