Dr. Amelia WongWong, Amelia

Amelia has been an Associate Dentist at Synergy Dental since 2016, although many of her patients may not know that Dentistry was not her first choice when she first left school. Her first degree was in Biomaterial sciences (BMedsci) (substances specifically engineered for one or more medical purposes which interact with the biological system), which she studied at Birmingham University. After graduating in 2010, she went on to study Dentistry (BDS) at the UCLAN and graduated in 2014. Amelia has always had a thirst for knowledge and developing her skills; she is keen to ensure that she can utilise the most up to date techniques in her practice. She has completed a range of postgraduate courses, including several on advanced composite techniques and a twelve-month IDEAL course in advanced restorative dentistry. She is also an accredited Invisalign provider. Amelia has a passion for paediatric dentistry. She has helped many patients improve their smiles and, more importantly, their confidence and overcome their dental fears. Her skills with children and her calming nature make her an extremely popular dentist with nervous patients and those suffering from dental anxiety. She loves working alongside the rest of our clinical team. She is especially keen when working with our team of Dental Hygiene Therapists to support the preventative ethos of the practice, which promotes the importance of healthy gums in keeping the rest of the mouth healthy and the rest of your body. She is modest and well known amongst her colleagues for being a perfectionist in making sure her patients get the very best treatments we offer. When she is not at work, you will find Amelia on her husband’s family farm helping milk the cows and keep their son Percy entertained. She loves nothing more than going out for food and trying out new cuisines and dining in new and exciting restaurants as well as spending time with her friends and family.
