Dr Chris David Donaldson is a Consultant Specialist Orthodontist working in and around London, UK. Chris qualified in Dentistry from King's College London in 2005 and after completing a year working in Community & Special care he was appointed Senior House Officer at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in London in Restorative Dentistry followed by Paediatric Dentistry. Chris was then appointed as a Senior House Officer in Maxillo-facial Surgery at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and subsequently St George’s Hospital and was awarded Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Chris then commenced training in Orthodontics at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital & Kingston Hospital in London. He was awarded an Master of Science (MSc) from King’s College London and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Dr Donaldson then completed higher specialist training in managing more complex orthodontics and was awarded the Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. In 2021 Chris was appointed as a Consultant at an NHS Hospital in London. Dr Donaldson is a fully certified Specialist Orthodontist who sees patients in and around London at private clinics. He is a member of the European Orthodontic Society and the American Association of Orthodontists and has presented at national and international conferences. Chris’ work has been published in medical and orthodontic research journals and is the author of a chapter in a popular orthodontic textbook. Chris has also for a number of years been a reviewer for the Journal of Orthodontics and is a Clinical Supervisor for trainee orthodontists in London; more recently he has taken on the role of supervisor of an MSc research project. Chris’ clinical focus is on using orthodontics & dento-facial orthopaedics to enhance smile & facial aesthetics and oral health outcomes through the delivery of precise and efficient care in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Chris enjoys cycling, competitive rowing and outdoor swimming.
