David has worked in general dental practice since qualifying in 2000. He spent several years as an orthodontic clinical assistant at North Tees General Hospital and then started working in a specialist orthodontic dental practice in 2018. In specialist practice he provides conventional orthodontic treatment including both fixed and removable braces.
David’s orthodontic training, beyond the basics from undergraduate study, started with the Further Professional Training course he took in 2001. This included time at the Orthodontic Department at Hartlepool General Hospital and other disciplines at several Secondary Care hospital sites in the Northern Deanery including oral surgery, advanced restorative dentistry and sedation.
Now that he is accredited to offer Invisalign he can provide orthodontic treatment in general practice beyond the current basic remit of NHS availability.
