Biography
Joanne qualified as a dentist in Leeds. She undertook many posts in hospital dentistry including, paediatrics, restorative dentistry, oral surgery and orthodontics.
Joanne then undertook three years of specialist training at Eastman Dental Institute and Watford Hospital whilst undertaking a Masters in Orthodontics at UCL.
She qualified as a specialist orthodontist in 2010 with J K Williams gold medal for the top marks in the country.
She went on to undertake 2 more years of training to become a hospital consultant specialising in management of complex orthodontic problems including jaw surgery, management of multiple missing teeth and complex medical needs. Joanne worked at Sheffield Dental Hospital and Rotherham Hospital treating complex cases and teaching students and dentists training to become orthodontists. She enjoys leadership roles at Royal College of Surgeons and within the NHS and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow

Joanne enjoys cycling and running and can often be seen cycling with her two young daughters in a bike trailer.
