Dr Josh Rowley GDC No. 250813 QUALIFICATIONS: BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery, University of Dundee (2014) MFDS – Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2016) DClinDent Orthodontics - University of Edinburgh Membership (MOrth) in Orthodontics - The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (2019) Josh is very passionate about providing beautiful, healthy smiles for his patients and utilises digital technology to present and plan orthodontic treatments. Josh has a strong passion for quality in dentistry and has been involved in many dental societies such as the British Dental Association (BDA), the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) and the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) throughout his years at university and after. Josh also currently sits on the BACD Young Membership and Communications Committee and is the BACD regional representative for Edinburgh, responsible for organising educational events helping to shape the future of cosmetic dentistry in Scotland. Josh was also nominated twice for Best Young Dentist at the prestigious Scottish Dental Awards in 2017 and 2018. And this year he won the 'Best Young Dentist' award in the Dentistry Scotland Awards 2019! Josh enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry but in particular enjoys orthodontics (teeth straightening), as it is a minimally invasive approach to achieving beautiful and functional smiles. Josh has undergoing a Masters/Doctorate degree in Orthodontics at the University of Edinburgh with the aim of becoming a specialist practitioner in this field. Utilising this experience he can provide treatments including fixed braces, lingual braces and aligners such as Invisalign. Josh has undertaken year long postgraduate courses in advanced cosmetic, aesthetic and restorative dentistry as well as topics on advance occlusion and dental rehabilitation to further develop his knowledge and skills to provide the best quality care for his patients to suit every situation. Josh undertakes many varied sporting interests in his spare time such as waterpolo, golf, surfing, snow ski-ing and mountain climbing.
