Biography
I am owner of the practice and have been working in Reigate as fully private specialist for 15 years. I have worn braces myself as an adult so fully appreciate the commitment patients are making. I have treated many adults with Invisalign including my husband and best friend.
I am passionate about adult orthodontics and providing first class care. We were finalists in the Dentistry Awards 2017 and 2018 for best patient care. I haven't entered any competitions recently because we've been focusing on further staff training and helping design dental air filtration systems in light of covid 19
I love my job as i see how transforming a person's smile increases their confidence. I can't tell you how many times i have been hugged by patients who are delighted with the results. It is such a privilege to be part of people lives in this way.
The training we have to become an orthodontist in the UK is 11 years in total: 5 years to become a dentist, 3 years of specialist exams for the Royal College of Surgeons and then 3 years of full time postgraduate training including publishing scientific research.
I won numerous prizes and awards during my time at University including the prize for Orthodontics and the Gold Medal of the University of London for the top-qualifying dentist.
I gained my Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons following my work at King’s College Hospital where I was a member of the head and neck cancer treatment team. I subsequently undertook specialist training in orthodontics at Kingston and Guy’s Hospitals in London, being awarded the Philip Walther prize by Kings College London for the highest marks in the Master of Science in Orthodontics examination. This was also in recognition of the quality of my research on cleft lip and palate patients. I was awarded the Membership in Orthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005.
I am a member of the British Orthodontic Society and the American Orthodontic Society. I am a registered Specialist in Orthodontics on the General Dental Council list.
When i am not at work, i can be found taxi-ing (like all parents i know!) my children to hockey and gymnastic events. In my own time i love pilates to unwind. I am interested in gardening and have 8 hens,
