Mick is originally from Kent but moved up to Yorkshire in 1993 to start his undergraduate dental training. He completed his degree in 1998 at Leeds Dental Institute. After working as a children’s dentist in Australia for a year he returned to Yorkshire to continue his studies in oral surgery, general dental practice and finally the three year specialist orthodontic training programme at the Leeds Dental Institute and York District Hospital.
Since completing specialist training in 2010 Mick has worked exclusively in specialist orthodontic practices in the region. In that time he has developed a keen interest in treating adolescent patients with jaw discrepancies and using discreet orthodontic appliances such as the Invisalign clear aligners and braces on the inside of the teeth.
Mick is married with four young children who take up most of his spare time. He does find time for the occasional game of golf now that his rugby playing days are behind him.
