Dr. Murtaza SiddiquiVitality Dental Care

Dr Siddiqui is the Clinical Director and partner of Vitality Dental & Optical Care which is a group of modern NHS & private dental practices in England (London, Oxford, East Midlands & Essex) and Scotland (Edinburgh, Dunblane, Stirling). He has a special interest in delivering dental and optical care in an occupational health setting, and in 2017 he was selected as the official dentist for the BMW Group in the UK serving employees of BMW, Mini and Rolls Royce from a custom built on-site practice at the Mini Plant in Oxford. Similarly, in 2014, he was selected to build a state-of-the art dental and optical practice at the University of Edinburgh’s city-centre campus to cater for 12,000 staff and 32,000 students from a completely non-existent service in 2014. The planning and management of this award winning start-up practice was led by Dr Siddiqui building an enviable practice reputation based upon consistent 5-star patient experience and high satisfaction scores. Dr Siddiqui is clinically active at his mixed private and NHS dental practices where he serves both NHS and private corporate clients serving employees of UBS, PWC, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, Barclays Capital, RBS, BNP Paribas, EY, Accenture, Hermes Fashion House, London Stock Exchange, Ford UK, Saudi Embassy and others. These multiple Clinical Director roles have given Dr Siddiqui a special understanding of clinical & corporate governance and managing large practices in multiple locations. Dr Siddiqui is also the Vice-President and Education & Welfare Director of the NE Thames Division of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (FGDP) at the Royal College of Surgeons England (RCSEng). This prestigious role puts him in regular contact with policy and guideline makers at the RCSEng and also with hundreds of general practitioners for whom he organises educational lectures and seminars to disseminate latest evidence-based guidelines. Dr Siddiqui is also an educational supervisor and DF1 trainer for new dentists and also a fully trained and registered examiner for new dental nurses with the National Examining Board of Dental Nurses (NEBDN) and actively helps to facilitate OSCE and written examinations for trainee dental nurses entering the profession. He has also served as an entrance interviewer for prospective dental students applying for the BDS course at the Barts and the London (University of London) giving him an excellent understanding of the professional standards required by the GDC. From 2012-2014, Dr Siddiqui was the recipient of the prestigious NIHR funded In-Practice Fellowship awarded at the UCL, which is a two-year grant nationally awarded to 12 promising clinicians (10 doctors and 2 dentists) annually. This was a grant for Dr Siddiqui to further study a MSc in Dental Public Health and refined his skills in population health.
