Qualified in 1993 from Birmingham University and went initially into the hospital service as an SHO in oral surgery and orthodontics in Burton and Derby. I returned back to general practice and did my vocational training on the City scheme in the West Midlands. I then worked as an associate in NHS dental practice for 7 years. During this time I also worked as a part time associate in a specialist orthodontic practice in Birmingham. I set up his own practice in 2003 and have worked there to this day, slowly expanding it from one to four surgeries. I have been a trainer of foundation dentists for 11 years. I have attended numerous courses in a variety of different dental specialties. I am a member of the Staffordshire orthodontic managed clinical network. I have a diploma in the membership of the faculty of general dental practitioners, a postgraduate certificate in orthodontics from Warwick University and a postgraduate certificate in medical education from Wolverhampton University. I am secretary of South Staffs. LDC and have been appointed Chair of the Dental LPN for Shropshire and Staffordshire. When I am not doing dentistry I occasionally find time for my wife and 2 kids!
Pastimes – I am a bit of an adrenaline junky! I will do anything that gets my blood pressure up!
