Biography
I have 37 years experience as a Dentist and enjoy helping my patients create the smile that they wish for.
Invisalign provides an amazing invisible way to achieve that smile and I would be delighted to provide this treatment for you.
I qualified from Leeds University in 1987 and gained my initial experience working alongside a number of well-regarded dentists in Leeds and Manchester. In 1991, I joined Wood & Woolfstein as a partner, which now seems like such a long time ago!
So much has changed since then, with huge advances in technology, techniques, materials and equipment. However, I have been able to stay up-to-date with the fast moving world of dentistry by attending numerous post-graduate courses.
Some things that do stay the same are the pride I feel for my practice, my love of dentistry and interacting with my long-standing patients. I’m now treating the children and grandchildren of many of these, as well as enjoying meeting and treating new patients.
I still relish the challenge of creating beautiful smiles, working with my patients to improve their dental and oral health, and providing high quality treatment in all aspects of dentistry, as well as taking on the challenge of many complex cases.
Away from the practice, I am married to Barbara and we have four wonderful children who are all now busy developing their own careers, allowing me to spend more time with my beautiful grandson.
I have a passion for sport and staying fit, and regularly cycle and play tennis.
Although my footballing days are on the decline (a bit like my football team Blackburn Rovers), I still stay involved via my charity work with my ‘Fundraising Football’ organization. Through football competitions, we have been able to raise much needed funds for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity, as well local social care charities.
