Dr. Peter ThomasBristol Orthodontics

Peter Thomas is a registered orthodontic specialist with the General Dental Council (GDC no 65064) and a member of the British Orthodontic Society. He completed his initial dental training in 1989 at Guys Hospital in London. He then spent the next 3 years working in hospital based posts in the specialities of children’s dentistry, oral surgery and restorative dentistry. He gained his Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. In 1993, he enrolled on a 3 year specialist orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital and the Royal United Hospital, Bath. In 1996 he gained his Masters degree in Orthodontics and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons. He was also awarded a national prize for the best 2 cases treated by the orthodontic postgraduates completing their specialist training that year. In 1997 he helped set up Great George Street Orthodontic Centre in Bristol. This practice evolved into what became Bristol Orthodontics. In 2012 this practice relocated to Wallace House in Clifton, Bristol. Peter is a certified user of the Invisalign system. More recently he has been involved in the teaching and training of orthodontic therapists, some of whom are now employed at Wallace House.
