Dr. Puthri RaphySt Raphael's Dental Practice Ltd

In 2009 Dr Raphy and Dr Paul Cheruvathur established the St Raphael’s Dental Practice Ltd. Dr Raphy is a member of the British Dental Association, British Orthodontic Society, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Dr Puthri Raphy qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Calicut in 2004. Following this she continued her training as a general dental practitioner and doing senior house officer positions in Restorative dentistry, Paediatric dentistry and Oral Surgery for the next 4 years. Following her Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Coventry and Warwickshire she was awarded the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties, England in 2008. Subsequent to this, along with her husband Dr Raphy Paul she set up the St Raphael’s Dental Practice in 2009. She continued her training in Management and Restorative dentistry and completed Advanced Certificate in Management and Certificates in Restorative Dentistry in 2010 and 2011. Over the next 3 years she worked in secondary and tertiary (hospital) care settings concentrating on Oral surgery, Paediatric dentistry, Special care dentistry, in preparation for her specialist training. During this time she also worked in general dental practice on a part-time basis. In 2014, Puthri undertook her specialist training in Orthodontics at the University of Liverpool. She completed the Membership in Orthodontics examination at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Surgeons at England, qualifying as a specialist in Orthodontics. In 2017, Puthri gained her Doctorate of Dental Sciences degree at Liverpool University supported by her thesis “Use of QLF-DTM as an oral hygiene evaluation tool in Orthodontics”. She presented her research at the European organisation of Caries Research at Oslo and the British Orthodontic Conference at Manchester in 2017.
