I studied dentistry at King's College London and qualified in 1992. Following a house officer post, I spent two years as a Senior House Officer in Maxillofacial Surgery at hospitals in Reading and Brighton. During this time I was awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
I spent the next year working as a general dentist in London before starting the three-year postgraduate orthodontic training course at Guy's Hospital. I was awarded an MSc degree from the University of London and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2000. This allows me to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council.
I am a director of Total Orthodontics Ltd and a member of the British Dental Association (BDA), the British Orthodontic Society (BOS), the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and a committee member of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society (BLOS). I am the past-editor of the British Orthodontic Society newsletter (BOSNews) and I am currently Director of External Relations at the BOS and a trustee of the BOS. I am often involved in lecturing and postgraduate teaching.
I use Invisalign routinely and I regularly attend Invisalign seminars to enhance my skills and knowledge. I am an Invisalign Platinum Provider and always use the iTero digital intraoral scanner for my patients.
