Sara AtiaThe Dentist at Liberty Place

Sara is a Consultant Orthodontist. She qualified as a dentist in 2008 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ School of Dentistry. Following on from this she undertook several hospital and practice posts in differing specialties. In 2011 she gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. On completion of her Orthodontic specialist training at Manchester University Dental Hospital, she was awarded entry to the General Dental Council’s Orthodontic Specialist list in 2016. Sara subsequently undertook an additional two years of Senior Registrar training to achieve Consultant status. She currently practices both in primary and secondary care. Her work in practice involves undertaking both NHS and private treatment. She has a particular interest in offering her patients the latest cosmetic orthodontic options. She is a fully certified Invisalign provider. As the Clinical Lead for both the Orthodontic and Maxillofacial surgery services at Stepping Hill Hospital her work involves treating complex multidisciplinary based cases. Alongside her clinical commitments she has a keen interest in teaching and has published numerous articles. She is currently part of a team undertaking a national multicentre clinical trial funded and approved by the British Orthodontic Society. Her commitment to teaching has resulted in her being invited by the British Orthodontic Society to speak numerous times at the annual British Orthodontic Conference and is an appointed examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
