Simon graduated from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2008 and completed his vocational training with the London Deanery.
After working in general practice providing a wide range of general dentistry he was successful in obtaining a further training post in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. Here he gained experience in dento-alveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery and head and neck oncology. During this time in hospital he completed a diploma for the Membership of The Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
He then continued his post graduate development by obtaining a career development post in Special Care Dentistry at Barts and The London Dental Hospital, treating patient with complex medical problems and those with dental phobias. In this year he completed the UCL Eastman Dental Institute's Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice.
In 2013, he commenced a 3 year Specialist Orthodontic training program at the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He was awarded a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in 2015 with his research investigating the impact of developmentally missing teeth on children’s quality of life, and the Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) in 2016, from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
