Dr Stuart Garton, our Clinical Director, graduated from University of Liverpool in 2008. He won several academic and clinical prizes at undergraduate level including the Thomas H Bickerton Prize in Anatomy and Physiology, Dental Alumni Association Prize and the 3M Unitek Prize in Orthodontics. Since qualification, he has worked as a general dental practitioner in Liverpool developing a particular interest in reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry. Stuart has undertaken extensive postgraduate training. He has achieved the prestigious accolade of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology from the University of Salford and a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Stuart is involved with the training of newly qualified dentists as an Educational Supervisor. He has recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice with Edge Hill University. He also takes an active role in improving dental services across our local region. He is a member of the Liverpool Local Dental Committee and the General Dental Practitioner Representative on the Local Dental Network and the Managed Clinical Network for Oral Surgery in Cheshire and Merseyside. Outside of Dentistry, Stuart enjoys spending time with his wife Katie, and three young children Cora, Lois and Audrey. He is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club, and regularly enjoys going to watch them play. He enjoys going the gym and running, having completed the Liverpool Marathon in 2012 and London Marathon in 2017.
