Dr. Tariq BashirVisage Lifestyle Clinic

Dr Tariq Bashir graduated from the University of Glasgow Dental School in 2005 where he obtained many awards including the prestigious British Dental Association Student of the Year Award. He then went on to attain his MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow whilst completing various hospital training posts around Scotland. He joined the team at Visage in 2008 and since has pursued post graduate education at prestigious UK institutes. He has completed dental implantology training at Sheffield University and has been awarded a Masters degree from the university of Chester. In his pursuit to continually elevate his skills further, he has as travelled extensively to learn the latest techniques and procedures from some of the most highly regarded dentists in Europe and the United States. Dr Bashir’s interest lie in minimally invasive restorative treatment especially including composite bonding,CEREC cadcam one appointment restorations and Invisalign clear braces. He has provided Invisalign treatment to his patients since 2008. He travels regularly to the USA for further training to be the best dentist he can be and give his patients the highest quality of dental care possible. He is a member of the ITI (International Team for Implantology) and also actively involved with the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) where he is a committee member and also the regional representative for Glasgow. Dr Bashir was a clinical teacher at Glasgow Dental School for the last 3 years. He feels his time teaching undergraduate dental students helped him make a small contribution to the training of the next generation of dentists and imparting some of the knowledge and techniques he has learnt over the last decade. Recognising the importance of giving back to the community, Dr Bashir helped set up the Dental Aid Network. This charity helps provide basic dental treatment to children around the world where access to such treatment is difficult. Recently he was awarded Best Young Dentist Finalist Scotland at the Dentistry Awards in November 2015. The following month he was chosen as ‘Most Invaluable Team Member’ at the Private Dentistry Awards in London-the same night Visage were honoured to be named as the Best Private Practice UK!
