Zia graduated from the University of Manchester in 2001. He then undertook several training posts including Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry, which provide a fantastic grounding to become a Specialist Orthodontist. During this time he obtained his Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He undertook his specialist training in orthodontics at Birmingham Dental Hospital and was awarded a Masters in Philosophy and obtained his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He subsequently gained entry onto the General Dental Council's specialist list for orthodontics. As a further recognition of his clinical expertise, Zia was awarded a highly prestigious British Orthodontic Society prize for excellence of his treated cases. Zia is a registered provider of Invisalign. This allows him to make the most informed decision when providing treatment for children or adults. Zia believes orthodontic treatment should only ever be done once and holds a strong philosophy of retention to ensure his patients keep their lovely straight smile forever.
