Ruth graduated in June 1991 from the University of Newcastle. She achieved her Diploma of General Dental Practitioners (DGDP) in 1995. Ruth worked as an associate in a practice in Newcastle for seven years before becoming a partner at Shotley Bridge Dental Care where she has seen the development and growth of the the practice over the past 19 years, Evolving from 2 surgeries and 4 staff to now 5 surgeries and 19 dentists and employees. Ruth's passion is to improve peoples smiles, Over the past 5 years she has attended numerous courses in cosmetically restoring teeth with composite and has completed a year long, level 1 Aesthetic and Restorative course with Dr Dominic Hassell in Solihull and is about to commence the advanced course (level 2) Her interest is aligning teeth began 5 years ago and since then she has completed several different systems. These systems once known as short term orthodontics follow a system of aligning, bleaching and bonding (beautifully shaping the teeth with minimally invasive tooth coloured restorations if necessary after teeth straightening) She is finding Invisalign a true leader in teeth straightening due to its investment in technology and constantly improving its system The transformation and life changing results are a joy for both the patient and dentist.
